One would think that once the holidays were over things would settle down. One might be wrong. It seems that a new year can often bring with it new projects and challenges.
A new baby will be coming into our lives soon and her anticipation brings all sorts of excitement, “To Do” lists, and preparations. The excitement, however, makes the preparations and lists that seem to never end, bearable. My son and future daughter in law have their hands full trying to work out the logistics of a home for the new family, paying for the delivery, and coordinating a workable work vs. home schedule for the three of them. Nothing they can’t handle, of course, but daunting none the less.
Watching them take on this new chapter of their lives and work together to give their little angel a life in a loving and happy home, I am in complete awe of my son and his fiancé. They are pooling their resources to secure all necessary tasks are met.
As a child my son struggled academically. Reading (processing) was a difficult and trying issue for him. He seemed to truly hate learning. But I have realized recently that he absorbed far more than I could have ever imagined over the years. Watching him speak to banks and realtors about purchasing a house at 28 years old… watching him work at a job he truly doesn’t like to pay for delivery costs and down payments… has me both flabbergasted and extremely proud.
So, through the grace of God, at the end of March or the first of April, miss Vera Willow Fera will enter this world surrounded by parents who will cherish her, Grandparents and Aunts and Uncles who will adore her, and a life of love from all awaiting her.
